Afterwork Thursday: The new afterwork spot at Boulevard Basel

On May 1st, 2025, Influence officially launched the Afterwork Thursday at Boulevard Basel — a new monthly gathering happening from May - August 2025, designed to bring together local entrepreneurs, creatives, and the business community in the heart of Basel’s Steinenvorstadt.
The place to be for connection and collaboration
The initiative comes from Basel-based Founder of Influence, Helen Seker, who wanted to create a platform where ideas, challenges, and experiences could be shared in a relaxed atmosphere, and from host Arton Krasniqi, who provides an elegant setting for the events with Boulevard. The venue offers the perfect blend of ambiance and energy from chic interiors to delicious regional food and drinks, making every event feel special and welcoming. It's a place where ideas flow as freely as the drinks, and connections turn into collaborations.
In addition to networking, the evenings also focus on specific themes — from regional wine tastings to discussion rounds with local entrepreneurs.
Highlights from the first edition
- Wine tasting and welcome drinks: Guests were treated to a regional wine tasting and refreshing Saint Germain welcome drinks, setting the perfect tone for a relaxed evening.
- Diverse community: From architects and creative professionals to designers and business owners, the crowd brought a wealth of perspectives, sparking inspiring conversations and fresh ideas.
- A platform for inspiration: Beyond networking, Afterwork Thursday offers a space to spotlight local challenges and successes, fostering community and collaboration across Basel’s vibrant business scene.

After a successful first event, Afterwork Thursday will now take place the first Thursday of the month from May - August, starting at 5:30 PM. Save the date, bring your friends, and join us for a relaxed evening of great conversations, local drinks, and inspiring connections! The last Afterwork Thursday will be taking place on 7 August at Boulevard Basel.
